The Legend of the Windego
In Northern US and Canada lives a creature that has a craving for human flesh. Native Americans called it the wendigo, meaning evil spirit that devours mankind. Accounts of the size of the wendigo vary, some tribes say its half the size of a human others say it is 15ft. tall. One of the myths claims every time the wendigo eats it grows, thus always growing and always hungry.
The wendigo is very thin, its skin hugging its bones. If it should stand sideways you would not be able to see it, the only way you can see a wendigo is head on. It has a head of a predator, a mouth full of razor sharp teeth, a blue tongue, and yellow owl like eyes. Its fingers and toes are like foot long talons that are razor sharp. It is said to have a heart of ice, some legends say it is made of all ice and the only way to kill it is to melt it or shatter the heart of ice.
Early settlers described it as a werewolf, devil, or cannibal.
A wendigo is a supernatural entity that feeds on human flesh. It is always hungry and never stops feeding. Native Americans believe that a wendigo is made when a man eats his own kind. Other stories say that it possesses forcing the hunger for human flesh and then eventually morphing into a creature. It is said if you dream of a wendigo the possession has started and it won’t be long till you start eating your own kind. Many Native Americans who have had this dream asked to be executed before they do any harm to the tribe. Shamans would work medicine on them if that did not work they were indeed executed.
When hunters would go out into the wilderness the wendigo would follow. The wendigo likes to take its time hunting. It will follow, and the hunter would soon feel its eyes upon him. The hunter will soon be always watching his back. Then the hunter will begin to smell a foul odor, it is said that only the hunter can smell it. Then when sleeps for the night, he would be heard crying and having nightmares. When he wakes his feet and legs feel as if they are on fire. The hunter would then go crazy running into the woods often with no clothing, to never return. He is now easy prey for the wendigo.
If a man would return, which very seldom happened, he would be with a crazed mind for the rest of his days.
Real wendigo cases:
1878 Swift Runner a Plains Cree trapper from Alberta killed his wife and 5 children and ate them. He later confessed and was hung at Fort Saskatchewan.
1907 Jack Fiddler Oji-Cree chief and shaman known for killing wendigos, was arrested along with his brother Joseph for the murder of a Cree Indian woman whom Jack said was on the verge of becoming a wendigo. Jack said she had to be killed before she started eating members of her village. Jack committed suicide, and his brother died in prison.
Early settler stories told that the wendigo was like an omen, if it was sighted it signaled a death the community. Reports in the late 1800’s from a town called Rosesu, MI. Every time the wendigo was sighted someone died unexpectedly, this occurred up till 1920 when the wendigo was seen no more.
Is the wendigo a Bigfoot? Bigfoot is big and hairy, most accounts of the wendigo it is hairless. Some of the descriptions that do include hair is very thin or matted and is white or gray.

TIME TRAVELER ?
On January 28, 2003, A man named Andrew Carlssin being led by the FBI at the request of the SEC (Security and Exchange Commission) for interrogation on suspicion of insider trading. Suspicions that began when the SEC learned that Carlssin managed to increase their portfolio worth $ 800 to $ 350,000,000 in just two weeks. He put on 126 portfolios of risky trading decisions without even fail.
For years, the greatest trader on Wall Street suffered heavy losses due to exceptional market volatility. So when Carlssin experiencing an extraordinary gain of 126 trading decisions, traders become suspicious.
In his interrogation in the presence of the FBI, 44-year-old Carlssin provide exceptional explanation how he got such wealth. He admitted that he was from the year 2256.
The FBI says, "We're still trying to ferret out the source of it in trading. He will remain in jail until we get d information. "
During four hours of interrogation, Carlssin say that he is a time traveler, a native of the year 2256. He said, "I can not help myself, and I have been trying to look natural, to make me lose a little here, a little there. But it seems I get carried away with the atmosphere. "
Carlssin admitted that he came from the year 2256 in which knowledge about stock market volatility is something that is so common that every person who knows the history of the stock market to take advantage of it. To prove his claim, Carlssin provide predictions about the exact date the U.S. invasion of Iraq, and he gave the exact date. Carlssin also offers to let you know the location of Osama Bin Laden and cure for AIDS. All he wanted was released and allowed back into his time machine.
When asked, Carlssin refused to tell the location of machine time or discuss how it works for fear the technology could fall into the wrong hands. Of course the FBI does not just believe the story Carlssin. But a source from the SEC acknowledged that no one can trace the origins Carlssin before December 2002. Carlssin as if it never existed before.
However, the story of Carlssin not stop there. Carlssin story suddenly disappeared and never tilt again. Similarly existence. No media covered it again. The SEC and the FBI even then deny that they ever catch Carlssin. His lawyer said that Carlssin should meet with him to the hearing in court on April 2, 2003, but he does not appear, go away.
Stories about Carlssin who claim comes from the future of this stems from news in the tabloid Weekly World News on 25 February 2003, which later was quoted by leading media such as Yahoo news.
In a subsequent article April 29, 2003, Weekly World News wrote that they were successfully interviewed via telephone and Carlssin said that he was in Toronto and is preparing a company going public in 2007. Carlssin admitted that on March 29, 2003, he was released by the FBI on the kindness of someone who is not known which provide a deposit amounting to 1 million dollars.
When arrested in 2003, Carlssin aged 44 years. However Carlssin said that until now, he does not grow old at all. When asked what he did during his years lost, he replied, "No Comment." And about the furor it caused, Carlssin said, "Timing is everything and everything happens according to time. I'm here now. So this is my time. "

Guardians
If you have a place that is worth consecrating, it is worth protecting. Guardians can be in many places, they are thought forms set in place by experts and have very specific instructions. Older guardians can and do remain extremely and unpleasant if it thinks you shouldn’t be there.
An inner plane guardian is at almost every sacred place. They are raised and put into place at the time of consecration. In ancient times this was done by sacrificing an animal or person. When and if the place was deconsecrated the guardian is summoned, thanked, blessed, and dispersed. If the place was moved the guardian could be temporarily housed. Many were housed in glass containers, it is said this is where the genie in the bottle came from.
There are two ways a guardian can be drawn to a place, if it isn’t put there.
A living person forms an attachment to the location and will stay with it after death. Usually this is the first person to die after the place has been put up.
A place becomes so empowered from use, that is attracts an angelic being who joins those that worship. It may also be an entity that moves in on the location to feed off the power created there.
The guardian will eventually weaken and fade if the place ends up not being used anymore.
Churches always have guardians, usually by the essence of the saint whom it is dedicated. Many old pubs are built on sites of ancient meeting grounds.
Were guardians have been set in place. These old meeting places were at a central point of an area. Eventually these places became places to eat, drink and sleep.
Every country has a guardian, which should be greeted as you approach the territory. A small gift, such as a pack of seeds, to the land is appreciated and insures a nice visit.
Old cemeteries also have a guardian, usually the guardian is the last person buried, until the next burial. Finally the last to be buried in that cemetery is the guardian.
Old houses often hold a family guardian. Ireland is famous for its banshees, the wailing woman whom sits by the front door and wails loudly when a family member is about to die. Those that have heard a banshee wail, describe it as a wail that begins low and harsh. It gets louder and louder until it pierces your eardrums and fills the head with pain and then slow goes away. If the family moves to another home or even another country the banshee will move with them.
There are many ways to make guardians, the use of thought forms and elements can make for a powerful being that is the protector of the property. I don’t believe this is commonly done today, but I am sure it is still practiced.
When performing a paranormal investigation keep in mind it may not be a spirit that is roaming the property it may also be a guardian.

Famous Ghost Photos- Bachelors Grove Cemetery
Bachelors Grove Cemetery is well known as one of the most haunted places in all of Chicagoland. This small desecrated graveyard has more unexplained paranormal activities than any other cemetery worldwide.
One of the most famous sightings is the woman sitting on a tombstone, this picture shows the transparent image of a woman sitting on a small checkered tombstone looking out into the woods. This photo was taken by Jude Felz and published in the Chicago Sun-Times.
The woman's face seems flat, with only a hint of a nose visible. Her feet blend into the grass (which appears white under infrared light), giving an appearance of translucence.
Since this photo was taken, the checkered monument has been photographed hundreds of times without producing anything nearly as spectacular.

Skinwalkers
In Native American lore, a skinwalker is a person with supernatural abilities that can turn into any animal he or she chooses. The Navajo called it naaldlooshii meaning, he goes on all fours refers to he or she using their powers to travel in animal form.
A skinwalker is a strange animal like figure 6 foot tall. Often a mutated version of the animal that they take form of, they are very fast, agile and impossible to catch. They avoid light, in human form their eyes glow yellow like animals. In animal form their eyes do not glow.
They have the power to read minds. They can make any animal or human sound they want. You do not want to lock eyes with one. They have the power to take over your body. They don’t leave footprints. They like to use charms such as human bones, bone dust to do harm to their victims.
Skinwalkers will sometimes try to break into a home and attack the people living there. If they don’t break into the home, they will often bang on the walls, tap on windows, and climb onto roofs.
Skinwalkers are considered to be greedy, selfish, and untrustworthy. The Navajo believe skinwalkers to be witches. By Navajo law, a known witch has forfeited its status as a human and can be killed at will. The assumption is that a witch by definition is evil.
Skinwalker Ranch, Utah.
This ranch has had some strange activity going on since the 1920’s. There are a wide variety of claims including, mysterious shapes (barely visible) moving about on the property, flying lights, lots of poltergeist phenomena outside and inside the home, a strange orange mist which would open and reveal a blue like sky within it, described as looking into a porthole into another world, flying objects were often seen emerging from this hole. An enormous wolf like figure roaming about the ranch, it would attack livestock. It was said to have been shot at very close range and the creature didn’t even flinch, it walked off unharmed. Cattle were mutilated or just flat out disappeared. Also, there were a lot of UFO reports in the area.
On story told of the owners dog ran off chasing blue orbs, the owner chased after the dogs. Once he caught up with them they were vaporized into nothing more than grease spots on the ground.
The Ute Indians would not venture onto the land, claiming it was cursed. They said skinwalkers used this land as travel ways to Dark Canyon.
1996 NIDS (national institute for discovery science) set up an investigation to try to figure out what was going on in this area.
The scientist involved had many strange occurrences, but were unable to collect any kind of evidence. Every time there was activity it seemed like batteries would die at once or they had equipment failure.
One of the weirdest things they had witnessed was a yellow light that manifested and then turned into a tunnel. A black humanoid figure emerged from the tunnel and they lost sight of is as it’s wandered the ranch. Another thing they noted is that when the tunnel closed there was a strange sulfuric odor.
Colm A Kelleher and George Knapp wrote a book on the events that took place on that ranch in the mid 1990’s called The Hunt for Skinwalker.

The cursed chair of the Busby Stoop Inn
The Thirsk Museum, England, hangs the chair of Thomas Busby. The chair hangs on a wall, about five to six feet up, in order to prevent anyone from sitting on it. Legend holds that the chair is cursed, and anyone who dares sit in it will meet an untimely end soon after.
In the summer of 1702, coin-forger Daniel Awety moved to the rural area of Kirby Wiske, where he bought a farm and renamed it ”Danotty Hall”. From there, he would continue his illicit coin-forging business. Awety partnered with his son-in-law, Thomas Busby. Busby, owned a inn just down the road from Danotty Hall he was also a reputed thief as well as a drunk and a bully.
The story goes Busby found Awety sitting in his favorite chair, a heated argument ensued in which Busby kicked Awety out. Awety threatened to take Busbys daughter with him to Danotty Hall. Later that night, Busby snuck into Danotty Hall, murdered Daniel Awety, and hid his body in the woods.
The dissapearance of Awety was suspicious and police organized a search, they found his body and Thomas Busby was arrested and sentenced to death by hanging.
On the day of his execution, a drunken Busby had to be pulled and dragged from his favorite chair. As he was being led to the gallows, he cursed the chair, vowing that anyone who dared sit in it would die a sudden and violent death.
After Busby’s death, the inn was renamed the Busby Stoop Inn.
More than 300 years later, the Busby Stoop Inn still stands and the tale of Busby’s cursed chair continues to dare the foolhardy and fill men’s hearts with fear. When the inn was taken over, the new owners kept Busby’s chair out on display. Stories about the curse, as well as alleged sightings of Busby’s ghost wandering the second floor, drew many curious customers to the inn. Friends stopping by for a drink would dare one another to sit on the chair, though very few did.
But according to several reports and eyewitnesses, those who were brave enough to sit in Busby’s chair all met an untimely demise.

Mirror Mirror, the lore of mirrors
Since ancient times mirrors or other reflective surfaces, have been considered portals to the unseen realms of spirits. Spirits have been summand through mirrors for ages. They also could be used to see the past or the future. Standing water whether it be natural or in a bowl was used like a mirror. Other items used were polished metals and crystal balls.
In folklore mirrors are soul stealers, they have the power to rip the soul right out of bodies. It is also said that demons can enter through mirrors. Actually any spirit can use a mirror as a doorway into our world. If you see your reflection in a mirror in a room that someone has died in, it is considered an omen of death. Mirrors are said to hold souls if you would break a mirror the soul is also broken.
Scrying is the use of a black mirror in a dimly lit room; you place yourself in the room where you cannot see your reflection or the reflection of anything else in the room. Staring at the mirror you enter an altered state of consciousness, spirits may appear in the mirror and be available for communication. Some believe you are projecting your subconscious thoughts onto a black canvas to see your thought images, a sort of self analysis.
Nostradamus scryed with a bowl of water, the bowl was painted black. He would stare into the bowl until he saw visions of the future.
Haunted homes that are plagued with activity are known to have mirror problems, especially if they are in the bedroom. You are your most vulnerable when you are sleeping, mirrors should never be at the head or foot of the bed. Also you should not be able to see your reflection when you lay in bed.
Mirrors in hallways should never look into a room, if they do, they should be moved. Mirrors also should never be facing one another, as this would create a fun house effect. It is believed they warp dimensional space and would allow spirits to enter.
Folklore suggests that mirrors should be on a wall facing a window or door. If a spirit should try to enter a window or door it would see its reflection and scare itself off.
If you cannot remove a mirror mix purified water and sea salt, apply on the frame of the mirror. This should be done with the combination of prayer. This will keep any unwanted entities from using the mirror as a portal.
Mirror Monsters
Bloody Mary- If you would like to see bloody Mary all you would have to do is enter a room with a mirror close all doors and draw the shades. Light a candle, stare into the mirror and chant bloody Mary 3 times, other variations call for 13 times.
If you should see bloody Mary, chances are you will end up with scratches all over your face and or body. Some say she appears with a knife, while other claims she carries a bloody baby.
The stories of how bloody Mary came to be are plenty. Many believe it is Queen Mary aka Bloody Mary, but most believe is it Mary Worth. Mary Worth was a beautiful young lady whom had a terrible accident that left her disfigured. Her parents hid all the mirrors in the house so she would know what she looked like. The story goes that one day she found a mirror; she was so shocked at what she saw she went into the mirror looking for her own reflection. She vowed to disfigure anyone who called upon her name.
The Candyman
To summond the candyman look into a mirror and chant candyman 5 times, it is said if the candyman appears he will kill you with his hook.
The legend states that the candyman was a black slave named Daniel Robitaille. Daniel worked at a plantation in New Orleans, he was a very good painter and he was chosen by the plantation owner to paint a portrait of his daughter.
Daniel fell in love with his daughter. When the plantation owner found out he raised an angry mob to hunt Daniel down. When they caught up with Daniel they sawed off his right hand, covered him in honey and tossed him into a bee hive. Daniel died, but before he did he vowed to return and exact his revenge. He would appear when his name was called 5 times.

Zozo The Ouija Nightmare
For thousands of years man used some sort of media to receive messages from deities. Since the mid 19th century no other spirits name has been repeated more than Zozo.
Thousands of people all over the world are reporting a nasty entity or entities which are called Zozo, or the Z-series entities (zo, zuzu, zaza, zono, etc). Another entity worth mentioning that likes to join the Z entities is an entity that goes by the name Mama.
Zozo is said to be extremely intelligent, and often moody. He sometimes claims to be a guardian for spirits in limbo, who were not allowed to advance into the higher realms. There are other reports that Zozo acts as a friendly entity until it get a hold in our dimension. Then it quickly turns into a very foul entity.
The entity has been known to curse you out and talk about how it would like to possess family members and take them to paradise. Folks that have seen it say it looks Latin/Hebrew and speaks using biblical terminology.
Most people who have come in contact with Zozo report deaths, suicides, accidents, severe poltergeist activity and health issues.
So what could Zozo be and how can this entity been it so many places?
Most believe Zozo is a demon and its name meaning “The Destroyer”. Some say the 3 headed dog demon that guards the gates of hell has zozo on its forehead. Aleister Crowley claimed zozo meant 666.
Is it really Bahzozo an ancient malicious and wicked spirit from the day of the Babylonian empire, people use to sacrifice their new born children to it.
Or could Zozo be a djinn which are much like a demon and will even tell you they are a demon. But unlike a demon a djinn doesn’t possess for the soul they possess for pure pleasure.
I don’t believe Zozo is one entity, if it is djinn which I believe it to be. It may be a certain clan of djinn, each clan having a different name like zozo, zuzu, zo, etc…

My favorite strange story
In June of 1972, a woman appeared in Cedar Senai hospital in nothing but a white, blood-covered gown. Now this, in itself, should not be too surprising as people often have accidents nearby and come to the nearest hospital for medical attention. But there were two things that caused people who saw her to vomit and flee in terror.
The first being that she wasn’t exactly human. she resembled something close to a mannequin, but had the dexterity and fluidity of a normal human being. Her face, was as flawless as a mannequins, devoid of eyebrows and smeared in make-up.
She had a kitten clenched in between her teeth, her jaws clamped so unnaturally tightly around it to the point where no teeth could be seen, the blood was still squirting out over her gown and onto the floor. She then pulled it out of her mouth, tossed it aside and collapsed.
From the moment she stepped through the entrance to when she was taken to a hospital room and cleaned up before being prepped for sedation, she was completely calm, expressionless and motionless. The doctors thought it best to restrain her until the authorities could arrive and she did not protest. They were unable to get any kind of response from her and most staff members felt too uncomfortable to look directly at her for more than a few seconds.
But the second the staff tried to sedate her, she fought back with extreme force. Two members of staff had to hold her down as her body rose up on the bed with that same, blank expression.
She turned her emotionless eyes towards the male doctor and did something unusual. She smiled.
As she did, the female doctor screamed and let go out of shock. In the womans mouth were not human teeth, but long, sharp spikes. Too long for her mouth to close fully without causing any damage…
The male doctor stared back at her for a moment before asking “What in the hell are you?”
She cracked her neck down to her shoulder to observe him, still smiling.
There was a long pause, the security had been alerted and could be heard coming down the hallway.
As he heard them, she darted forward, sinking her teeth into the front of his throat, ripping out his jugular & letting him fall to the floor, gasping for air as he choked on his own blood.
She stood up and leaned over him, her face coming dangerously close to his as the life faded from his eyes.
She leaned closer and whispered in his ear. “I…am….God….”
The doctors eyes filled with fear as he watched her calmly walk away to greet the security men. His last ever sight would be watching her feast on them one by one.
The female doctor who survived the incident named her “The Expressionless”.
There was never a sighting of her again.

Will O the Wisp
Few mythical "creatures", if you can call this one, share the kind of worldwide mythology that the will-o'-the-wisp has. In different cultures around the world, this unexplained phenomenon is known by different names and descriptions, but there are a few similarities that seem to appear in all versions of the folklore.
The most common encounters with will-o'-the-wisps occur in marshes and swampland. Travelers will see a faint but definite flame-like light in the distance. It seems to be flickering in and out of sight. Those who approach the light notice consistently that it appears to move away from them, but if they turn around and walk away, it appears to follow them. It is believed that the light wants you to follow it, but folklorists disagree as to whether it wants to help you find your way or lead you to your death.
Will-O'-The-Wisp by Gods-and-Monsters.com
Scientists have long suspected that these lights were simply marsh gas igniting. Small photon emissions (lights) can indeed be replicated by combining chemicals and gasses found in marshes and rotting compost.
In J.G. Owens "Journal of American Folklore", the author makes a striking point in response:
"This is a name that is sometimes applied to a phenomenon perhaps more frequently called Jack-o'-the-Lantern, or Will-o'-the-Wisp. It seems to be a ball of fire, varying in size from that of a candle-flame to that of a man's head. It is generally observed in damp, marshy places, moving to and fro; but it has been known to stand perfectly still and send off scintillations. As you approach it, it will move on, keeping just beyond your reach; if you retire, it will follow you. That these fireballs do occur, and that they will repeat your motion, seems to be established, but no satisfactory explanation has yet been offered that I have heard. Those who are less superstitious say that it is the ignition of the gases rising from the marsh. But how a light produced from burning gas could have the form described and move as described, advancing as you advance, receding as you recede, and at other times remaining stationary, without having any visible connection with the earth, is not clear to me."
Again, explanations as to what will-o'-the-wisps really are depend highly on the context and location of the sighting. Some cultures believe they are ghost lights, some say they are fairies, and some have different takes altogether. They all, however, share the theory that these are spirits or creatures that intend to guide travelers in a certain direction.
The optimistic view is that following a will-o'-the-wisp will lead to great treasure, much like chasing a leprechaun, but seemingly easier. The more common, and seemingly more realistic take is that these are the ghosts of the dead, not allowed in either Heaven or Hell, wandering eternally and leading travelers astray to do them harm.
Several folktales support this theory, stating that the light one sees is a single piece of burning coal from Heaven or a burning ember from Hell - both consolation prizes for trying, but failing, to get in. The name jack-o'-lantern or jack-o'-the-lantern comes from this same myth, where the burning ember is placed in a turnip or pumpkin. This is where the tradition of guiding others to your home by lighting a candle inside a pumpkin on Halloween night comes from.

The legend around The Crying Boy painting.
The stories began around 1985, when several mysterious fires occurred all around England. When the debris was sifted through the only item that remained uncharred was a painting of a little boy with a tear rolling down his cheek in every fire.
Background: Bruno Amadio an italian painter was in Spain when he noticed a boy crying, he then asked him what's wrong, the boy continued crying and didn't talk. Bruno took him to the his apartment, the boy didn't stop crying. Bruno found out about the boy from his nieghbours that the boy had saw his parents being burnt during a fire at thier home, the boy's name is Don Bonillo. Noone wanted to do anything with the boy, because he is know whereever he goes a fire would start for no reason.
He drew around 27 portraits of the boy, all of them sold. Bruno became rich and living luxuriously.
Bruno had gone for a trip and on arrival he saw that his apartment which was also his studio was burnt to the grown, all his painting were ruined, he blamed Don, Don ran away and wasnt seen again.
In 1976, barcelona had witnessed one of the most awful car crashs. After the car crashed, it was on fire, the body couldn't be identified, but in the glove compartment was a license which was partly burnied. It was Don, 19 years old.
Shortly after this incident there were mysterious fires all over england, the fires have turned everything into a rubble expect the portraits of the crying boy.
In 1988, a mysterious explosion destroyed the home of the Amos family in Heswall, England. When firemen sifted through the burnt-out shell of the house, they found a framed picture, entitled ‘The Crying Boy’, which was a portrait of an angelic-looking boy with a sorrowful expression and a tear rolling down his cheek. But the picture was not even singed by the blaze.
Not long afterwards in Bradford, there was another blaze, and again a picture of the crying child was found intact among the smoldering ruins. The head of the Yorkshire Fire Brigade told the national newspapers that pictures of the weird Crying Boy were frequently found intact in the rubble of houses. Journalists asked him if he thought that the picture was evil and could somehow start the fires, but the fire-chief refused to comment.
There have been reports of the crying boy painting being found in charred homes untouched since 1985 and as recent as 1988.

Strange Glimpse of the future, Time Slip?
In 1932, German newspaper reporter J. Bernard Hutton and his colleague, photographer Joachim Brandt, were assigned to do a story on the Hamburg-Altona shipyards.
After being given a tour by a shipyard executive, the two newspapermen were leaving when they heard the drone of overhead aircraft. They at first thought is was a practice drill, but that notion was quickly dispelled when bombs began exploding all around and the roar of anti-aircraft gunfire filled the air. The sky quickly darkened and they were in the middle of a full-blown air raid. They quickly got in their car and drove away from the shipyard back toward Hamburg.
As they left the area, however, the sky seemed to brighten and they again found themselves in the light of a calm, ordinary late afternoon. They looked back at the shipyards, and there was no destruction, no bomb-induced inferno they had just left, no aircraft in the sky.
The photos Brandt had taken during the attack showed nothing unusual.
It wasn't until 1943 that the British Royal Air Force attacked and destroyed the shipyard - just as Hutton and Brandt had experienced it 11 years earlier.
